New Minister's Tourism Engagement Council

New tourism council will work with government on sustainable growth

The Government of BC has announced a new Minister’s Tourism Engagement Council (MTEC), with a diverse membership to help guide government's tourism policy, strategy and program implementation. The council draws on expertise from a wide range of sectors from tourism regions across the province.


The council will provide advice on policies, strategies, and issues that affect the industry, while helping set tourism priorities, goals and strategy implementation. Members of the council represent both large and small tourism businesses, culture and sport groups, Indigenous communities, technology companies, wilderness guides, marketing organizations, and many other industry sectors.
